A new 'Global Search' facility has been added to the site under the  Features Menu which will let you search for a forename, surname or forename-surname combination in all the different data sources on the site  including the 1841 census, trade directories and the main message forum  postings as well as new data sources such as 1851 census strays and parish  record baptisms and burials as they become available.  You can then link directly from the search results which are shown as the total number of  matches found to the actual data items themselves.
