As you have probably noticed the 1851 census for Sheffield and surrounding areas is in the process of being transcribed and added to the site. Records will be searchable by a combination of piece number, folio, forename, surname and place of birth. Once the indexing of the 1851 census has been completed we will continue where we left off with the 1861 census. If you require further details on any of the 1851 census entries please post a message in the 1851 Census message forum.
