Following ongoing periods of downtime, occasional poor performance and more importantly the threat of having the site closed down we have been forced to find a new home for the Sheffield Indexers site.  The old site was provided free of charge but was not under our control and was effectively only provided for an index to the 1841 census.  We have already expanded way beyond that and hope to provide further new online sources of data in the near future.
 
During the next few weeks users may find one or two teething problems although we hope in the main that most things should be working.  One area where we are experiencing some problems is with certain message forum login names especially where users may have registered twice using login names with different capitalisation, ie. Mike and mike.  Unfortunately, the old site was closed to us before we could rectify this.  Should you have any login problems, however, please drop us a line at [email protected] and we will correct the problem for you.
